In about 2005 there was a factory black/black ‘68 Impala SS (non Z24) sport coupe for sale in the Iola WI swap meet. It had faded red 427 markers and a 6K redline tach dash. I don’t remember if it had fiber optics. The car was repainted red and was rusty. It had a SBC and a 3 speed manual on the floor. The 4 speed console was in the trunk. I still kick myself for not buying it as it was a good deal.
