I'm curious, for 1970 wouldn't a 454-power Chevy have a side-post battery?

I know dad ordered his '70 Biscayne with practically nothing except for F40 suspension, T60 battery & G78-15 blackwalls. It was a top-post battery but then again it had an inline six & was from Oshawa.
