For those of us who strive for the highest level of detail, I have something I hope you’ll be interested in. When I went looking for correct power brake booster tags, shock absorber decals, coil spring tags and disc brake dust shield decals I found absolutely nothing out there with the correct part numbers or codes for the big cars. My option was to either buy Corvette, Camaro or Chevelle stuff or go without.
We all know the extensive research that’s been done on these cars by Warren and Steven. I tapped into their expertise to come up with a handful of the more common combinations that would cover the majority of our cars. After over two years of pursuing individuals qualified to re-create these tags/decals I have a very limited quantity available for sale.
The research was only done for 1967 and 1968. Some of these I’m sure would be the same for 1969 but we didn’t research those so there could be a question of accuracy.
What I’ll be offering are packages of these tags/decals. For a power drum brake car the package will include the power brake booster tag, all four shock absorber tags and four coil spring tags. For a disc brake car, the package will include all that's in the drum brake package plus the disc brake dust shield tags. You’ll need to let me know if your car has F-40, F-41 or standard suspension. The coil spring tags are all big block applications so if your car is a small block than technically they won’t be correct. For those who just detailed the under-hood areas of their car I will also sell a power brake booster tag by itself.
The cost for the drum brake package is $60. For the disc brake package the cost is $75. A power brake booster tag by itself is $12. All prices include domestic shipping. I almost feel like I should apologize for the cost. These tags/decals for the Camaros, Chevelles and Corvettes are much cheaper in comparison. I assume that’s because they’re produced by the hundreds.
When I set out to do this I only needed them for my car but then figured there would be some interest amongst us to have the correct stuff on our cars. The last thing I wanted to have happen is a Corvette guy recognize a Corvette spring tag or shock decal on my car. If I’m able to sell the extra packages listed above I’ll still be in the negative for what they cost to have made. I’m fine with that since I know we’ll have legitimate tags/decals on our cars.
If you’re interested in purchasing anything described above please send me a private message with your e-mail or phone number. I’ll answer any questions you may have.
