Regarding this car. Well I went a looked at it and Warren , you mentioned getting the VIN, Data Plate and engine numbers. The fellow was not obliging with any of these things, but he did let me look at it The car needs quarters and fenders and perhaps doors, but the rockers and the floors and trunk are very solid. All the rot and perforation is on the normal places on the formention places. The interior is old and tired, but complete. I did not see the shifter, but he said he had it. Some one has started to remove items The engine is a CE block. Interesting markings around the heater box on the firewall. In crayon or chalk were to codes both starting with "U"- I assume radio stuff? and then "427" was also marked there. It is a car that he had brought to Canada from PA and he said it was a Tarrytown built car. He also had a 427 , 4 speed car, straight Impala bench seat car. No motor or trans, plus a spare 69 parts car. But I believe from my limited knowledge the the SS427 is a real car. Sorry Warren, the info you wanted , he just did not want it on the internet, in fact he was very surprise that the club knew about the car. Morley

Thanks for trying. What you wrote jogged my memory. I know this car. It's a real Z24 and it's in my list. The story is the original engine went bad 2 months after the car was sold, hence the CE warranty replacement.

Warren, Is this the car That Scott Chalk sold off of my space at Carlisle several years ago. Had a porous casted block. The guy who owned was a mechanic at a the dealer where he purchased it and they did do a CE update about 6 weeks after purchase as I recall. Car was gold and was a real 390HP 4 speed car with black buckets.

Morley. When looking at a car, You have to get His interest and tell Him You need the Information to make a decision. Where was Your phone camera? No way to tell if it is an SS427 other than the paper work. Does the car have buckets and a console? NICK L72

Car does have buckets and console.

One other note, the invoice and POP are from the 2nd owner so it doesn't list the options, nor does the pop list the drivetrain codes. Only the 2nd owners info

I would love to add this one to the registry. Would need vin, cowl tag info and engine pad numbers if readable.

That's the Z21 trim option which I believe was available on any Impala model.

Canadian have been importing cars from the US for years and years. No big deal. First, call your border entry people. and tell them what you are attempting to do. and be specific about the car. Then get in your truck, and come and get it. It is pretty easy. Oh yes , you will need a passport, not so much to get into Canada , but mostly so you can get back into the US. OR . phone a company like TFX International--they are actually quite close to this car and they will look after all the paper work and load the car and deliver it to your doorway. I have used them a few times with great success.vvMorley
