Axle Code location

Hello all,

I tried a search with no luck. I bought a 1965 12bolt rear for my 66 Biscayne and was wondering if the code is on the front of the tube?
One internet pic has the code on the bottom of the tube?
Any help would be appreciated.

Also, where are folks getting the repopped dual snorkel L72 type air cleaners.
