So my Wife is out at a bar at this very moment with some of her Co Workers ( other females ) etc. One of them seems like she knows a little about cars ?? . My wife sends me several Text messages looking for Muscle Cars , Camaros Novas and Mustangs etc. Wife says , " how about a 1967 Impala SS427 ? " Shows here a picture of one , girls says , "thats not a muscle car !" LMAO !
Do people not consider these cars muscle cars ?

Jon - In my opinion (we all know opinions are like ... everybody has one), the 67 Impala SS 427 is one of the greatest full size muscle cars ever built ! I have an original 2 page advertisement that states it pretty well, it goes something like this: For the man who would buy a sports car if it had this much room ! Although, a 427 Impala is not the fastest car I ever sat my butt in ... I have owned a great assortment of muscle cars over the last 40 years, including TWO 1969 Impala SS427 / 425 horse 4 speed cars ... Take a deep breath ... the fastest and most drivable muscle car I have ever owned was a 1971 Buick GS Stage 1 ! Please don't banish me from this site ... My heart and soul is dedicated to Impalas (I have a 63 Impala SS , 327/300 4 speed that I have owned since 1976)... I owned the 67 Impala SS427 which is pictured and documented on this site (Butternut Yellow, D96 stripes, Parchment interior ...) and other muscle cars at the same time during the late 1990's, it was the most fun to cruise around in ! They're not friends yet Gene , new job.Turns out this was a boss. I sent her so much , counter point, info. She looked it up on her phone , I was happy with what she responded with. Impalas are credited with the start of the muscle car era. Score one for Deb !
