1969 Biscayne front bumper brackets

Hello everyone.I'm trying to find out if the front bumber brackets that go from the frame to the front bumper itself were painted chassic black or were they zinc plated from the factory on a 1969 Biscayne/Impala?
And what about the rear bumper brackets?

On all mine currently owned, and in the past, were painted
