I came across 67 Impala (no Impala ID) in a shed that says SS and the 427 logos on front fender. Pulled the cover back far enough that I could see the 4spd manual and guages in the console. I took the serial number. 164879J118495 Can anyone tell me what I found. Is this the rare one? Just wondering. I've been told it's been on the concrete floor for 15 years and the owner sends rent. HELP please

Either a 68 164878J or maybe a 69, 164379J?
Would need more information and pictures. Cowl tag info and engine pad numbers would be good.

1967 (also '68 & '69) did not have gages in the console, they were in the main cluster if so equipped. The VIN 16487 is that of a 1968 2 door coupe built in Janesville but the next digit (9) would indicate a 1969 model. You've got the vin mixed up somehow.
