Hi everyone! I just realized my 67 427 is NOT a Z-24 . it was built in Atlanta I believe. I made friends with the original owner before he passed. he sent me the original car invoice. the car was ordered on 12-21-66. it does NOT have a 4D on the cowl tag. the car came with the Z-24 package. on the invoice it lists the 385 HP engine-316.00 then at the bottom it lists SS 427 Package 84.30, so maybe the two of them in combo, worked out the Z-24.

The 4D code on the cowl tag was not used at the Doraville, GA plant for 1967 Z-24 cars. Your car may still be legit but the invoice is not concrete evidence since they can be reproduced just like window stickers. Doraville cars usually have the build sheet stuck to the inside of the driver's side rear armrest housing. Pull out the ashtray and peek through the hole to see if it's there. The build sheet or protect-o plate can document your car.
