This car was really tempting for me but with a close read of the description I felt it needed virtually everything and no matter how much work I did myself I couldn't possibly come out ahead of the deal.
All those options are nice- until you try to repair or replace them.
This would have been a $50K plus build in addition to the purchase price, not counting a ton of personal labor.
Good luck to the buyer.

I also seriously considered this car over restoring my Impala SS w/396. Of course, mine is not an SS427, but it is in way better shape and I already have it. That $26.7k (selling price for that SS427) would go a long way towards restoration costs on my car....

Agree 100%. Plus it's an automatic with a replacement engine. Great project, but those two factors have to figure into the final value.

Lots of nice options including power locks.
Assuming the AM/FM is not installed because it did not come with the car... has rear antenna.

so how does this car compare in value to a rusty one loaded with same options but it is a 4 speed and has born with original engine? ( black exterior and red interior with build sheet)

Many people raced them and up north accidentally left water in the block over winter storage and cracked blocks occurred ,sadly.

rear head bolt had little metal between it and the water jacket and the block would crack there. Now there is an easy fix for that. Shame so many blocks got replaced for that problem
