I've got a 1969 Pontiac 2+2, which as you know is mechanically identical to the Impala, and came off the same line in Oshawa.
The protecto plate and axle read

The 0228K is Feb 28 (196) and I think the K is for McKinnon Industries, who was likely the supplier up in Canada.
But the BK has me stumped. It's not a Pontiac thing, as the same axle goes under the Impala, so it must be a McKinnon Industries (ie: Canadian supplier) thing but the codes are nowhere to be found!
Anyone have any data for axles that came from McKinnon?
