68 SS427 Convertible at Cars On Line

Not sure what to think of this. I can see a number of things that are not correct, and I am not a 427SS guy. It does look like a nice car.

GM Performance crate motor, 454 or 502. Composite T/C cover, alum heads, long w/p set-up etc. Looks like a built-up car interior-wise. Are the front vigilite housings painted black? I would think that in order to sell at this price level, the ad would be much more comprehensive.
I prefer this car for 1/2 the price.

Look at the rear shock mounts.I'll bet he wanted the air shock up so high they were topped out and bouncing at the top of their travel. There is a Cadillac shock available that are 2 inches more length than the air shock listed for Impala's today.

TRQ, can you tell me where to find any info on the 2" longer Cadillac Shocks that you have mentioned in your post ... Thanks Glenn

When I found mine,I went to a Monroe parts catalogue identification guide that shows the configuration and all shock specifications (including overall length,mounting attachments,etc). I looked over the shock for the Impala application,then found similar design but longer overall length. The shock I used was for a Cadillac,,but I cant remember the actual year,etc. This was a while back,,when most shops still had a catalogue rack on their counter,not an on line set up.I'm sure a reputable parts house could help you.
