What is the highest price ever paid for a LEGITIMATE 67-69 SS427 Impala? And when?

It's a good question and almost every car sold has some sort of caveat to it's originality. At the Kissimmee Mecum auction I have seen 2-3 '67s sell in the $30-$40k range in the last few years. The harsh reality is these cars just don't bring the big money because they just aren't as popular as a camaro or chevelle.

That's a great question. I know the highest sale price ever presented for an SS427 was Irwin's infamous "one of one" L72 car.
