Does anyone know of a place that does a great job of restoring seat belts ? I have seen a few on the internet . I have a 69 Impala SS that needs some work on the seat belts . I would hope to find someone that could renew the chrome pieces and also keep that date code tags intact . Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thank You
John Upton

Thanks Paul and Marc . WOW . These guys did a great job on my seat belts . I had no idea they could recondition seat belts like this and make them look better than new . You were right Paul , very expensive . I asked them how they came up with the name Ssnake Oil . They said the original owner sold a product like WD - 40 . This oil would snake it's way into the threads of bolts and screws, thus Ssnake Oil . He was a car guy that went to car shows . He decided to re do his seatbelts and , people noticed his work and wanted him to re do their seat belts . The business kept growing and is now owned by a new group of people . They do very good work .

John, did they do anything as far as replating the buckles or simply detail them and replace the webbing?

Hi Rob . They replated or rechromed the buckles . Plus they did a brushed finish on the bottom of the buckle where the straps connect to the buckle and the line between the chrome and the brushed finish has a sort of a semi circle line . I say a brushed finish for lack of a better term . They look awesome . Thanks John

John,
I have the deluxe seatbelts on my '68 Z24. The finish on the top of my buckles is a brushed stainless. The bottom is smooth chrome.
