Hi guys, is there anyone who knows the normal resistance on a new wiper switch. Old switch no power to high speed, new switch no power high speed, new switch zero resistance to low side, open on high side. 3 opens when off position. could use some help. thanks Dan 69 impala

That switch merely sets a ground. The motor is hot all the time with the key on Yellow wire on motor and pump). The light blue wire sets ground on the high speed circuit, and the black and light blue wires grounded together set ground on the low speed circuit. The dark blue wire sets ground to the washer circuit. There should zero resistance on any of the terminals. You will get continuity between a blade and the metal mounting face as you slide the switch from left to right or push the button in to ground the washer blade.

Donny:I took the advise from you and bill and bought a new wiper motor, washer motor, switch is new wiring harness under dash, and engine compartment is new and still no high speed wipers do you have any advice? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Dan

I've experienced the situation, and I understand the circuitry that Donny is detailing. After going through all the trouble-shooting with no positive results, I decided to replace the wiper unit...I now have two speeds again on my '68.
