Anyone out there have any experience with the aftermarket,repop steering wheels and wheel centers? I see a couple places offering them for about $300. Dug mine out and its full of cracks.
Ken, It's been a few years, but I bought a repop wheel and center for my Biscayne,and I'm generally happy with it. The only real disappointment was the horn buttons and related contacts. I used my original buttons and contact components,and it worked out fine. I dont remember the vendor, but it was a GM Licensed vendor. Would it be advisable to have your wheel restored? I have no real input about that, but it would be worth asking I'm sure. Good luck on your project. Lot's of great input and advice from experienced folks on this site. I received valuable help on this site when I restored my car, and I appreciate the advice from those folks for sure.
Very nice car ! I did contact a couple steering wheel places and they don't do the 69's. It's cracked in 5 places and never paid attention to it until now .I saw speedway motors and one other place that offered the repop wheels.Not sure if they are the same as a chevelle.
