I have a 69 Impala SS 427 4 speed. It has the original Muncie shifter that is just a pain in the butt. I was wanting to change to a Hurst Competition plus shifter, but Hurst does not a shifter for my car. I have looked at my shifter location and set up and it looks like I could use the Hurst shifter and installation kit for a 69 Chevelle. Has anybody ran into this scenario before, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Hurst offered a shifter for the Impala. i am using a Chevelle competition 4 speed with a 4205 adapter plate. I bought one on E-bay. It raises the shifter up in the console, so it does not hit. The Chevelle shifter is offset to center in the console. Check My post on the 69 grill. NICK L72427impalasportcoupe
