Agree with you! I liked the 1970 Impalas/Caprices. But I'm still glad I have the last fastback/Sport Coupe - 1968. Have a meaningful Christmas.

I think You are confused. My 1969 sport coupe is a fastback. 1970 also sold the sport coupe. The custom coupe was made for people who wanted a cheap Caprice since 1965. I did not order a custom coupe for My 1969 Impala SS427 L72 because it did not look like the coupes. The 1969 sport coupe has a raised roof for more headroom in the back. People complained about the 1965 to 1968 fast back roof line NICK L72

In my way of thinking, your '69 is not a fastback. Sport coupe, yes; fast back, no. This guy is not complaining about my roof line. The '67 and '68 fastbacks are my favorites.

Bill H. You are wrong. I like all Chevrolet Impalas. The roof on the 69 and 70 have just as much slope as the 60's except for a classic line from windshield to the back window. Check them out. Merry Christmas NICK L72

Beautiful pictures. 65 and 66 were fast backs, but 67 and 68 ran into the trunk more. So what if 69 and 70 had a ridge to the trunk. The body style was called sport coupe, not fast back by GM. The critics called them fast backs. It does not matter to Me. I know what I own. NICK L72
