Steering wheel on my 67 Z24 convertible has cracks and wear. Restore or replacement? My restoration is too nice to let it go. Also the silver/simulated chrome trim on the front seats isn’t up to snuff. Help?

Most of the restoration houses sell the crap that's re-purposed door edge trim. It tough to work with and looks cheesy.
Ames Performance sells a kit that's virtually identical to the original trim and is pre-molded to fit these seat backs. Essentially, all you have to do is trim the ends to where you want them.
They primarily sell Pontiac stuff so you may need to tell them you need the kit for a 67 GTO.
They're a little pricey but you won't be disappointed. For reproduction stuff, it's very nice.

Hi Keith, Thank you for the review on the Pontiac seat trim. I saw those in a Pontiac catalog and they did look better, so this confirms that they are worth the cost.Denis 1967 Impala SS Sport Coupe 396/TH400/12 bolt. The chrome bucket seat trim and end caps are available from any number of resto parts houses.
