Shifter Boot

I finally started working on my Interior this weekend. Tonight I removed my console. Is there supposed to be two different boots for the shifter?

Yes , there is an upper and lower boot . Your lower boot looks original and correct , but your upper in incorrect, and must have been replaced at one time . I also noticed your shifter arm has an offset (and that is not factory ) which could explain why they used a different upper boot . well.

Thanks for the info, so that top boot should connect with the lower boot? is that correct?

The bottom boot is a seal between the floor and the bottom of the console. The upper boot is a seal between the top of the shifter arm opening , and the shifter arm itself. Then it is covered by a plastic slider , so you really do not see the upper boot. If you can find NOS they are not cheap . Jon Krogh has reproduced these upper and lower boots , and you should still be able to find them on eBay

I found a new bottom, I just looking for the top. My slider is is decent shape still.
