68 l36 fuel filters, 1 or 2?

Since there is an external cannister filter used on the the l36 427, is a carb fuel filter also required or did they come with just the cannister filter from the factory and no filter in the q-jet for better flow to the carb?

I know there is a provision for a filter that is in the inlet of the q-jet, I was just wondering if the factory did not install one in the carb inlet when it left the factory because there already is an external fuel filter.
