and when he drove for DEI in Cup I thought NASCAR screwed him out of a win the race either at Daytona or Talladega where Tony Stewart through a block on him going to the checkered flag, and he went below the yellow line to avoid Tony's block, and ended up passing Stewart for the win, but NASCAR said he went below the yellow line to pass, so they took the win from him, but in his interview today he said "last corner of the last lap at Daytona, and I saw Brad pull out to pass me, so I knew I could either finish second, or throw the block", so in other words I couldn't win the race without running into Brad, so I took a chance on causing the big one, and this apparently this is fine with NASCAR. I can't help but thinking that Regan was thinking about that Cup win NASCAR took from when Tony threw the block on him, and Tony was rewarded for the throwing the block, so why wouldn't Regan throw the block? Kind of ironic that Tony ends up with the win in both races.
