The reason Kevin Harvick made plans to leave RCR is because RCR will be announcing they will be teaming up with Dodge to bring Dodge back to the Cup Series in 2014, and Kevin wanted to stay with Chevrolet. There's also rumors about how DEI and RCR are now buying their engines from Hendricks because the old RCR/DEI engine shop is in a transition period changing over to build Dodge engines, or possibly Chevrolet no longer wanted RCR to build Chevrolet engines if he's going to Dodge.
