Some years ago a family member...who knew my SS# used it and faked my sig to put a very large sum of money into my name...then never pay taxes on it. Of course the IRS figured it out and came after me. That was back in 1986.

I'm getting concerned this same person...who's trying to hide money from the state Medicaid people...might be hiding money in my name...we have the same names. In 1986 I didnt know it till the IRS contacted me.

Is there a way for me to check what accounts are in my name? If I was to be charged by the state people it could ruin my chances of needing Medicaid down the road. But if our names are the same....they know my SS#...just the address would be different...not sure there is a way I can protect against this.
