That is a big claim considering how big the NASCAR home track program is. I can think of at least one black female who has probably already beat her to the claim. Nicole Lyons, out on the west coast, I believe Lyons was licensed back in 2010. She is an NHRA Sportsman driver and has yet to actually run in a NASCAR race but she has been actively soliciting teams and sponsors since 2010. It took her 3 years but she has finally put a small deal together this year and after three or so successful test sessions earlier this year she will run her first race at Hickory this Saturday night. I would imagine that there are also a number of others who have held NASCAR late model licenses even before Nicole. The video below is Nicole at Hickory back in Jan. Take Care.
