If you would like to support a sprint car driver’s efforts to get back in the seat check out the site below and donate. The driver is Ashley Parlett (better known in the garage as AP) she has been working in the garage in NASCAR and ARCA for 7 or so years now; she was the car chief for RAB Racing in the Nationwide Series. Most recently she had a job working behind the scenes production for SPEED TV, but jumped ship back to the garage, because the channel is turning into a stick and ball sports channel and she could read the writing on the wall. Apparently most of the production meets at SPEED are now focusing on Baseball as the format change in August is fast approaching. Anyway AP is currently working as a road mechanic for Turner Scott Motorsports in the East Series on the 34 car for a driver named Kenzie Ruston. Kenzie is out of Oklahoma and is also a fairly hot shoe in the NASCAR East Series look for her to move up the ladder in the next couple of years. Going into Richmond Kenzie was coming off a 3rd place finish at Greenville Pickens and a 5th place finish at Five Flags. It looked like she was going to get another top 5 at Richmond, but with 20 to go she got run over from the back on a restart when the car in front of her missed a shift, so they settled for 19th. The 34 team has a John Andretti connection as the crew chief is Fuz Burgdoff who was the car chief on John’s Camping World car. Fuz is also married to one of Greg Pollex’s daughters; Mr. Pollex was the owner of PPC Racing when John drove there. Greg sold the team to Braun who then sold it to Turner, a small world. So if you can help Ashley I know she would appreciate it. Even a couple of bucks helps, and if not at least be sure to follow AP and Kenzie; just visit the links below. Take Care.
