in Rochester actually opened inside of an existing Kentucky Fried Chicken. I'd probably eventually give in, and try again just because I like fish & chips so much, but the only problem is the Long John Silvers inside of the KFC opened rigth across the street from my favorite sub shop in the whole world, and that's East Coast Penn Station Sub, so when I'm over in the Rochester area if I'm hungry I'll have a hard time going back to Long John Silvers when they're right across the street from East Coast Penn Station Sub. We've recently had a resurgence of Popeye's Chicken in the Detroit Suburbs. Back in like the 1980s we had KFCs, Church's Chicken, and Popeye's Chicken. I believe all except 2 or 3 of the Popeye's closed, and the majority of the Church's closed, and we actually had Church's re-opening inside of White Castles for awhile, but that has stopped and I believe all the Church's Chickens that opened up inside of White Castles are gone, so we now have very few Church's Chickens again, but now all of a sudden over the last few years it seems like I keep noticing new Popeye's Chickens opening everywhere. They'll actually buy an existing fast food restaurant like Wendy's, Burger King, etc., and tear that building down, and build and open a new Popeye's on that site. |
