Mother's Day morning. I'm not saying I understand this, but a lot of people that live in the Detroit suburbs retire to Northern Michigan i.e. Traverse City, Gaylord, Charlevoix, Alpena, Indian River, Petoskey, Cheboygan, etc., etc., etc. I have no idea why anybody would retire to a place where it's colder and the winters last longer than in Southeast Michigan where you lived the majority of your life. When I think retirement I think Florida, Vegas, Arizona, and even places like North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, etc.
Anyway, since so many people retire to Northern Michigan a lot of people go up ther Mother's Day weekend to vist their mothers. This is what they woke up to this morning.
