Even though Allmendinger was out of sequence on his pits they said it wouldn't matter because he could make it until lap 173, and pit with 27 to go, and the rest of the field would be pitting with 20 to 15 to go. A.J. pitted first starting the last cycle of pits of the day from the lead, but when the pits cycled through A.J. was in like 9th, and managed to picked up 2 positions before the race ended. I recorded the race, and they were atucally away at a commercial when A.J. pitted for the last time, but they showed the replay when they came back from commercial, and the pit crew changed tires, filled it with gas, and dropped the jack, and it looked like A.J. sat there for a few seconds, and they showed Roger Penske standing on the wall shaking his head like he couldn't figure out why A.J. sat there for a few seconds after they dropped the jack. Oh well, considering that was A.J.'s first time at INDY, and has been out of an open wheel car for seven years I think he did a heck of a job, and was in position to win until the last pit stop of the day. Glad to see Tony win it, but I think if it would of stayed green that Carlos Munoz kid would of won it, and what a story that would of been. First race ever in the INDY Car Series. I didn't look that up, but at least I think it was his first race ever in an the INDY Car Series.
