The main entrance to MIS is on the westside, but there are huge parking lots and camping facilities on both the east and westside. The only time ISC opens the parking lots on the eastside of the track is on Sunday for the Cup races. If you go there for an ARCA race, Nationwide Race, or truck race they force you to park on the westside. They have no idea how much more fustrating it is to park on the westside of the track if you're coming from the east, and then when you leave the track they have the roads going east closed so that you can only go west. You literally have to go 10 miles out of your way before you can turn around and head east. I just don't get it. My buddies and myself quit going to the Cup races, but we'd still go out there for the ARCA, Nationwide, and truck races because there's about a third of the people there on those days. Coming in from the east, and having to leave and head east got so bad we quit going. On Sunday they have the trams running transporting the people from the east parking lots to the entrances on the westside of the track. I guess they only want to run the trams on Sunday. That's fine, but if I want to park on the eastside of the track to make coming and leaving easier on myself, and walk around to the entrances on the westside that should be up to me.
