So I am surprised that there aren't a car or two from independents, Nationwide, etc, that do not try to run a race or two. All they would need to do is to beat out one car and they are in. Enough bottom feeders that it should be possible. The top dog teams would still have nothing to worry about (unfortunately). Na$car probably loves it the way Pancho has outlined this. But from a competitive format, it stinks. There are teams that have proven the minimal approach can work. Just do not expect to win races. Just enjoy being a part of the show. Then again - how many entries did the Indy 500 have this year? A bigger shame.
