Especially since it was a Nationwide Race, but Mad Max was in the top 5 this year in a Nationwide road course race with just a few laps to go when he taken out by someone like James Buescher. I believe I remember hearing just lately that Max is actually on payroll at Richard Childress Racing as a driving coach for Austin and Ty Dillion. During the Nationwide and truck races Max is usually seen on top of a hauler watching the races with Richard Childress.
