back to Max Papis who was in a top of the line ride. To tell you the truth I really expected more out of Max in the #14 car. Allmendinger was in that turd #47 car and was in the top 3 or 4 all day until he ran out of gas and still came back to finish 10th. I think that's a classic example of why teams bring in "ringers". How else is that #47 team going to get a top 10 unless they bring in a someone with road course experience when the Cup Series is at Sonoma or Watkins Glen?
What you said about Ambrose not being a ringer because he's full time driver in the Cup Series and has been for years (just like Montoya) was my reasoning of why I thought Robby Gordon would of been a better pick for #14 car than Papis. Your talking about a guy with over 15 years experience in a full time Cup car.
