Mid-Ohio's about 4 hours from where I live Michigan. I had been planning to get up early Saturday morning and head to Mid-Ohio, but the more I think about I think I've talked myself out of it. All my NASCAR buddies are heading to Michigan Speedway for the weekend, so I have nobody to go with me, and do I really want to drive 8 hours plus to watch a road course race where no matter where I sit I'll only be able to see a few hundred yards of the track? Plus Kenny Chesney is at Ford Field (home of the Detroit Lions) Saturday night, and we still haven't ruled out trying to score a couple last minute Chesney tickets on Craig's List. It's amazing how cheap good tickets get to sold out concert the day of the concert. I'll probably stay home and enjoy the Nationwide Race from Mid-Ohio and the truck race from Michigan on TV Saturday afternoon. To tell you the truth I wish I knew the Trans Am Series was going to be there. Maybe I would of been more serious about making plans to go.
