I highly doubt that Richard even gave that much thought. They were running a family business. They went to as many races that they could and the ones they made sure to attend were the ones that paid the most. I really don't think Richard cared that much about his total of wins. If he cared, he would've retired at least 5 years before he did to keep his winning percentage higher. He just wanted to keep racing.
