a done deal Newman will be at RCR replacing Burton. Burton had one year left in his contract, and was paid off by Childress not to return in 2014. I think this was to open the seat for Newman. RCR's line up for 2014 will be Ryan Newman, Paul Menard and Austin Dillon.
There's rumors that Martin may stay on at Stewart/Haas as possibly a driver's coach for Danica, and to test because Tony doesn't like to test. I really don't see an opportunity for J.P.M. in Cup next year. I'm with you that I'd like to see him at Andretti Autosport.
On a completely different subject I think if I was a business and was looking to sponsor a car in the INDY Series I'd be curious to see what Scott Speed could do full time in decent equipment in the INDY Car Series. Red Bull spent a ton of money on this kid all the way through the F1 feeder series in Europe to a couple years in a F1 car. He did win the championship in the 2004 Formula Renault 2000 Series. You don't do that without being able to drive an open wheel car.
