Let's take for granted what MWR did was on purpose, anybody with a brain knows they did especially after hearing Vickers' audio.

What bothers me is this:

1. People are saying "well Newman still had a bad pits stop".

So what? He would not have been pitting if Bowyer didn't pull his shenanigans, so that point about Newman's pit stop is moot.

2. We keep hearing talk about Nascar doesn't change the results after the race, they want fans to leave the track knowing who won, blah blah blah.

This is a good part of the reason teams will keep doing this type of stuff, because they know they can get away with it. Big deal if they get a fine, it's usually a drop in the bucket and besides, in this case they are going to get a lot more money for being in the chase anyway. Nascar needs to do something like the NFL did to the Saints. Nascar needs to say "the race result will go back to the order before Bowyer fake spun, case closed, no appeals".
