They added a section in the infield of turn one for motorcycles only so they would not have to navigate turn one of the oval. They also run in the opposite direction of the cars. Or more clearly in a counterclockwise direction. The sports cars just don't use the infield section in turn one. It's way too tight for any full size car use anyway in my opinion. The only other changes to the infield road course from the first layout was to essentially take out two hairpins behind the museum and make them two 90 degree turns. There are rumors that the infield golf holes could meet the bulldozer to make way for a completely redesigned infield road course and other improvements. As a golfer I hope that doesn't happen!
