This is what I think is going on...
and a few other news outlets are picking up the same story. Iowa has been in trouble for a while now. They have been in the red and have been slow to pay purse money for 3 years or so. Anyway ISC is a public company, so if ISC buys Iowa the finical situation would be out in the public realm. NASCAR is a private company so they can buy the track and not release any financial info on how bad the track was doing. I would also add the Iowa was owned by Conrad Clement who also started Featherliite trailers and they have a very close relationship to NASCAR. In short NASCAR is private, and ISC is the publicly traded arm of the private company. Take Care
