well, it doesn't necessarily guarantee you a spot in the chase, but yeah pretty much. if there are more than 15 winners it goes to the person with most wins, then most points. i believe the 16th spot is for the highest points with no wins...meaning like dale jr. see, it's already confusing. what sucks is if you finished every race 3rd, someone else finished every race 2nd, and the guy who won a race but was 30th in points will be in the chase instead of the guy that finished every race 3rd. i'm pretty sure that's how it goes...
