With all the changes they did to the cars to put the racing back in the hands of the drivers didn't change the fact that Nico Rossberg driving for Mercedes (not to be confused with McClaren-Mercedes) started 3rd, but when the race started shot by the first and second place cars like they were standing still and never looked back. The Australian kid that took over for Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo, at Red Bull started and finished 2nd, but was later disqualified. The cars can only start with a 100 kilos of fuel in them, and that has to last the whole race. F1 officials announced 5 hours after the race that Ricciardo started with too much fuel in the car. Not sure how they detgermine that after the race. |
