Jarrett qualified 4th and was running 6th with 14 laps to go in today's USAC Silver Crown race at Gateway Motorsports Park when the mag had a meltdown. He was the last car on the track as the others had suffered mechanical failure prior to his. Only 5 cars finished. The track announcer kept say the car was driven by John..... It wasn't a bad day but it could have been better. More than one driver said they'd lost mags this year. One of the foto guys said if they don't start getting more midgets or silver crown cars the series might be short lived.

First time to meet John or Jarrett. All of them very nice. REALLY different to see john as the chief mechanic, tire changer, etc....Indy it ain't but it's great to a USAC event with them in it.
