So did anyone else watch the throwback broadcast of the 2004 Daytona 500 last night? I caught something that I didn't remember from watching the race live back in '04. When Tony Eury Sr. was being interviewed on Pit Road immediately following the race he began by thanking a number of people and the first one he named was John Andretti. A second or two later, John flashed by on the screen driving his #1 Maxwell House DEI Chevy down pit road. It really brought a smile to my face and made me really glad that I watched. Especially when I remembered that was the same year that Tony Stewart got into a practice scuffle on-track with John and kept running his mouth about John for the remainder of Speedweeks. It made me feel good know that Tony Eury Sr. appreciated John's effort and help to the team that he mentioned him immediately after winning the biggest race of his career. I still have that #1 Maxwell House diecast.
