Good morning everybody! June 4 is the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre which ended the 1989 Democracy Movent in Communist China. Thousands of students and other supporters were brutally murdered by the Chinese authorities. Any mention of this brutal repression is punishable by imprisonment or worse. Even any display of the numbers 6/4. 6-4, or 64 on social media is deleted when this anniversary is approaching. This date is commemorated by the Chinese community outside of China by various demonstrations and monuments.
