I was asked to describe a bit more about the class.
It is not necessary to have any background in Qigong or Tai Chi - most participants will likely be beginners.
We will start with warm up exercises (primarily to improve circulation around the spine,to encourage balance, relaxation and centeredness) .
The warm ups are easy to learn and practice at home.
We will do some standing meditation with breathing (qigong) and then practice a 10 part series of qigong exercises that develop movement patterns that are found in the tai chi forms.
Each week we will learn a specific tai chi movement in detail.
Participants can join at any time in the season.
