Anna and her family business, Recicladora Tenacatita, have been awesome partners in this fledging community recycling program.
A big clean up usually takes place every 3 - 4 months with the help of students and volunteers. Thanks to donations to La Manzanilla Hermosa we now have additional help to keep the site more tidy and maintained.
Thanks to the La Huerta maintenance personnel, the delegado, the principal, students and teachers at the Primaria who keep the project going through all the challenges. Thanks as well to the store owners and local residents who are separating their trash so recycling can continue to happen here, saving some material from the overflowing landfills.
Below you can find a list of what is and is not accepted at this time. Sometimes there are changes.
There is also signage at the Las Hormigas site to help educate on what is and isn't recyclable.
