I was on my paddleboard with a thin shorty wetsuit, so didn't feel in any way chilled. Usually I would slip into the water with mask and snorkel to listen to them, but not yesterday...the water was a bit cool, but mostly I worried about wind chill after getting back out. The water didn't seem as cold as it's been.

The whale song in the bay this year is quite different than the past few years. I highly recommend the National Geographic Overheard podcast on whale songs...helps to understand a little.

Watching them for 45 minutes was enough of a blessing this time :-)
