Over the past couple of months there has been a group of guys who congregate under the Almond tree behind the office on Sunday around sunset. They play music at an acceptable level and proceed to get drunk.

We have an agreement that they can do that as long as they don't leave a mess, and to this date they have complied fully.

I'm writing this because of the chuckles I got watching them cleaning up the trash while drunk. When they left one of them gave me a fist bump and said "respecto", I replied La misma para ti (same to you) and I meant it.

They remind me of the losers club (Bobby, rest his soul). They don't have girlfriends (to my knowledge) but are brothers in circumstance. They are kind to each other, they are making their way through life, and I love them.
