Actually, the contest was officially over when the 1 inch threshold had been reached (sometime before Daniel's 8:05 a.m. post). The contest being over, the winner would be the one closest one at that time. (Your time guess was after the close of the contest).

So, the winner, logically, would be the guess closest one before the contest ended, which by pure circumstance is the one submitted by yours truly (6-15-22 @ 4:00 p.m.).

But, I have no quarrel whatsoever if Daniel declares you the winner...
