There will be a small amount of produce from the School Garden near the Tianguis this Friday, Dec 2nd, by 9:30 am.  A table will be set up across from the south east corner of El Jardín or central plaza near Café del Mar.  This week we hope to have some coconut, starfruit (carambola), maracuya (granada china), and yams (camote). Do you have extra fruit you would like to donate? Proceeds from the sale will go into our fund that helps with the cost of repair and maintenance of items in the garden.

A number of people have been working to reinvigorate the program. We are tentatively planning to call it the “School of Community Gardening” our goal is to make it a hybrid of community gardens and youth educational programs. I, Brandon Lloyd, will be at the table to chat with anyone about these efforts.

There is quite a bit of planning and re-organization to do, and we welcome all community members to participate. For the time being, weekly meetings will be held Saturday mornings at the Garden at 9:30 under the ramada.
